Gabelli School PMBA students Know How to Have Fun—Even on a Busy Schedule! Between company visits and insightful sessions with executives from numerous industries, our PMBA students still managed to make time for culture, cuisine, and connection.

During a Tapas Cooking Class in Barcelona, students split into five groups to learn how to prepare classic Spanish dishes—including tortilla española (Spanish omelette), gazpacho, and even paella. Thanks to great teamwork and collaboration, the results were not only delicious but also deeply rewarding. The class concluded with a shared dinner, where everyone enjoyed the fruits of their labor together.

As the final stop on their company visit schedule, the students toured Familia Torres Winery—one of the oldest and most renowned wineries in Catalonia. There, they explored the rich history and heritage of this family-owned business, gained insight into its unique business model, toured its stunning facilities, and topped off the experience with a tasting in the winery’s impressive museum.

The group celebrated the end of a fantastic Immersion Program in Barcelona with a wonderful farewell dinner, reflecting on the incredible memories they created together.

Gabelli School students spent spring break in Sene

Gabelli School students spent spring break in Senegal, working with young Senegalese entrepreneurs to build and grow their startups. In addition to engaging with these entrepreneurs, students had the opportunity to participate in high-level visits including one with the mayor of the city of Rufisque, one of the major cities in Senegal, and one with key staff at the U.S. Embassy in the capital city of Dakar. Students also visited a major new technology park being built in the country. Many thanks to Dennis Hanno, Ph.D., associate clinical professor, Leading People and Organizations; and Hanaa Fawzy, assistant dean of global initiatives and partnerships for co-leading this incredible global immersion.

This year’s schedule for the Gabelli School’s Annual International Business Week (IBW) has just been announced. It will feature three exciting sessions and two site visits that will focus on diverse aspects of global business, and will feature speakers and panelists from across five continents!
For the duration of the week (Monday, March 31 – Friday, April 4), Gabelli students will have the opportunity to learn about international business, economics, politics, and culture. Gabelli School of Business M.S. in Media Managemen

Gabelli School of Business M.S. in Media Management students enrolled in the Global Immersion in the Media, Technology, and Communication sectors in Germany class are currently in Berlin. They are visiting numerous companies, participating in lectures, collecting observations for their projects, and immersing themselves in the history and culture of Berlin. Among the highlights on this weeklong immersion are visits to Axel Springer, an international media and technology company; Berliner Zeitung, a daily newspaper publisher; and numerous agencies. A huge thank you to Bozena Mierzejewska, Ph.D., associate professor and area chair Communications and Media Management, and program director of the M.S. in Media Management for arranging this immersion. A group of Professional M.B.A. students kicked off

A group of Professional M.B.A. students kicked off their Global Immersion Program in Barcelona with a lively rooftop social hour, taking in breathtaking views of the city. Their first full day began with a visit to the world-famous Sagrada Familia, followed by a cultural walking tour through the historic Gothic Quarter. Along the way, they explored iconic landmarks such as the Barcelona Cathedral, ancient Roman ruins, and the vibrant El Born neighborhood, immersing themselves in the city’s rich history and culture. The Global Immersion Program is led by Sertan Kabadayi, Ph.D., director of the PMBA program, with support from Liza Wynns, associate director for global initiatives.

The Gabelli School's Full-time, Professional, and Executive M.B.A. students came together for an enriching All M.B.A. Networking event, fostering meaningful connections and insightful conversations. It was a fantastic opportunity for individuals from diverse backgrounds to share experiences, exchange ideas, and strengthen the M.B.A. community. The M.B.As. were greeted by Program Directors Alex Markle and Sertan Kabadayi. The event was organized by Linda Agnew, M.B.A. program manager.

Fordham Gabelli School of Business M.B.A. students visited the LinkedIn office this past Friday for an engaging conversation with the LinkedIn team. A special thanks to Ancy Joseph (former LinkedIn employee) and Linda Agnew, M.B.A. program manager, for organizing this visit. Students heard a presentation by Fordham alums Adeel Hasham, account director, and David Rowe, enterprise account director, along with senior leader—Lisa Campagñe, director, large enterprise sales.
