On the afternoon of Wednesday, September 28, Mario Gabelli, BS '65, chairman and CEO of GAMCO Investors, Inc., returned to the Lincoln Center Campus, this time to give a presentation to our Full-time MBA students.

Mr. Gabelli shared how he keeps up-to-date with what is happening in the market and how much he has seen it change since he was a student at @fordhamuniversity. After his presentation, Mr. Gabelli participated in a fireside chat with students Marina Yukari Senaga, MBA '24, Tushar Sundrani, MBA '24 and Derek de los Reyes, MBA '24, during which he offered advice and strategies.

On Saturday, September 17th, @fordham_sac hosted over 200 graduate students at their Welcome Back Bash. Students from all Gabelli School MS and MBA programs were invited to mingle, dance, and get to know each other in a social setting. Even Senior Assistant Dean for Graduate Advising and Engagement, Lonnie Kussin, joined the festivities, not just as a friendly face, but also in the official capacity of pulling raffle tickets for exciting prizes.

Professional MBA students who are taking the Londo

Professional MBA students who are taking the London Immersion Tour class came together for an “Ice Breaker Happy Hour” on Sunday, September 18, to meet and get to know each other prior to a trip to London in October.

The week-long trip organized by PMBA Director, Sertan Kabadayi, is happening from October 22-29 and will include lectures and company and cultural site visits. Kabadayi shared that students are very excited about the upcoming trip and that there are plans for the PMBA program to offer more Global Immersions including a new one being planned for the Spring 2023 semester. For our Professional MBA students who are balancing full-time jobs with a part-time MBA program, it can be more challenging to meet their classmates outside of their actual classes. Thanks to the efforts of PMBA Events Committee and PMBA Program Director, Sertan Kabadayi, a number of social and professional events are scheduled throughout the semester to provide opportunities for students to get to know each other better.

This Spin 54 event was an opportunity for the newest PMBA students to meet other PMBA students who have already been in the program for a year or more, build their networks, and learn more about the program experience.
