On May 4, the Fordham University Gabelli School of Business hosted the 4th annual 'Final Showcase' for the Corporate Communications High School Pipeline Program. The CCP Program has been run by students and the DEI office at the Gabelli School of Business for five years. This year grew to serve 60 young scholars from the Bronx and Harlem. PwC sponsored this year’s program and donated book scholarships in addition to funds for operations costs. Pictured here are first place winners Alyzia Hiraldo, Jared Negron, Sean Mejia, Emily Gonzalez, Kassandra Marmolejos. The students were supported by Samantha Santiago from Cristo Rey New York High School alongside their college counselor, Jinnet Tejeda, Gabelli School Director of DEI Clarence E. Ball III, and Associate Dean for Undergraduate Studies Mark Silver, Ph.D.

A huge shout out to recent Fordham University Gabe

A huge shout out to recent Fordham University Gabelli School of Business Executive MBA graduate, Robert Griffith, who was interviewed on WCBS-TV New York regarding earning his degree at age 52. Griffith is a former pro football player who spent 13 seasons in the NFL, mostly with the Minnesota Vikings. Since retiring from football, he has had a successful business career, which he decided to take to the next level by earning an Executive MBA, concentrating in international business.

On May 11, the Gabelli School of Business Graduate

On May 11, the Gabelli School of Business Graduate Advising and Student Engagement Office hosted Zip Nguyen, deputy chair of the Next Generation Board at the @bbc, for a roundtable discussion about career strategy for international students. The event was attended by students from the M.S. Media Management, M.S. Marketing Intelligence, M.S. Information Technology and M.S. Business Analytics, as well as Kate Kennon, Ed.D., assistant dean of graduate advising and engagement.

On Friday, April 28, the Fordham University Gabelli School of Business celebrated the 200+ recipients of the Responsible Business Leadership (RBL) certification. The afternoon started with a VIP lunch celebrating the 40 dedicated students who completed all six steps of the certification. The celebration kicked off with congratulations from Elizabeth Ostler, manager of graduate enrichment programs, and from Gabelli School of Business Dean Lerzan Aksoy. The group heard student testimonials and a congratulatory video from all of our facilitators, coaches, and RBL friends. The keynote speaker was the impactful Celeste Mergens, founder and former CEO of Days for Girls International. She left students with much to consider as Responsible Business Leaders. Each recipient's name was read and certificates and gifts were given. The celebration ended with refreshments and great conversation. Congratulations to all of our Responsible Business Leaders!

There has been so much to celebrate over the past few weeks. On Tuesday, May 16, Gabelli School of Business Dean Lerzan Aksoy Ph.D., along with faculty members, student advisors, and academic area chairs acknowledged the Graduate Award winners, Dean’s List honorees, and Faculty Excellence Awards winners at this year’s Graduate Awards Ceremony. More than 120 students were recognized for their academic dedication and commitment to leading and serving the Gabelli School community.

Nearly 650 graduates attended the Fordham Universi

Nearly 650 graduates attended the Fordham University Gabelli School of Business Graduate Diploma Ceremony at the Rose Hill Campus on May 23. They were joined by thousands of family members and friends who came to wish them well. The mood was incredibly celebratory and everyone reveled in the success and promise of the next generation of business leaders. Congrats to all!

Graduating seniors in the Gabelli School of Busine

Graduating seniors in the Gabelli School of Business at Rose Hill were recognized for their accomplishments both in and outside of the classroom at the School’s annual Awards Ceremony, which took place on May 19 in the Leonard Theatre at Fordham Prep. Three valedictorians were recognized - Emme Simning, Vanessa Marku, and Richard Torres Jr. Dean Lerzan Aksoy presided over the ceremony that recognized students who were in honors societies and the School’s honors programs, as well as students who received departmental awards and leadership awards. It also honored two Fordham graduates, Lorem Basile, GABELLI ’18, and Daniela Basile, GABELLI ’20 as Alumnae of the Year, and recognized multiple faculty and staff members. Congratulations to all!

On Friday, May 19, the Gabelli School of Business

On Friday, May 19, the Gabelli School of Business hosted the Lincoln Center Awards to celebrate undergraduate students at our Lincoln Center campus who have excelled academically, exhibited outstanding leadership and service qualities, and have contributed positively to the Gabelli School community.

Hussein Chebli, GABELLI '23, received the Dean's Award, which recognizes a student who has exemplified the spirit of leadership called forth in a Jesuit Education: a leader who united others behind a common cause to accomplish goals that could not otherwise be attained.

Kaitlyn Bailis, GABELLI '23, received three awards. The first was to highlight her academic achievement as a Marketing Scholar. The second was in recognition of her service on the Dean's Council, on which she worked with an advisory group that assisted the administration in understanding student needs in order to shape program improvements. Kaitlyn was also awarded the Alumni Chair award - an actual Fordham chair with her name engraved on it. This is presented to a senior who inspires their peers; who achieves excellence in intellectual and extracurricular endeavors; and who makes contributions that will outlast one’s time as an undergraduate.

We would like to congratulate these students as well as the other 40 students who were presented with awards for their achievements.
