General Information
In Fall 2017, the Gabelli School of Business built a webcasting studio for the purposes of recording distance education courses and webcasting synchronous online courses. The recording studio is also used for recording videos for various programs.
The webcasting studio is located at the Lincoln Center campus in 140W Building, Room 358. The studio is equipped with a large screen TV, an HD camcorder, a teleprompter, a lapel microphone, a wired microphone, a 4K webcam, a PC, studio lights, a podium, and various backdrop options. In addition, the studio is furnished with a coffee table, and chairs for conducting interviews.
The PC has Adobe Connect, WebEx, Camtasia, Handbrake, and Microsoft Office installed for screen capturing and editing purposes.
Typical Functions:
- Record an instructor-led lecture or speech using the camcorder
- Record a PPT voice-over lecture using Camtasia software
- Record an interview with a NYC backdrop or Fordham branded backdrop
- Conduct a live synchronous lecture using Adobe Connect
